AI can be fun as a gimmick or throwaway joke out of curiosity but the problem is that these companies want to monetize it and replace art as a whole medium. I’ve used Ai to make joke images or for fun to make some ridiculous shit, but I’m not going to pretend that it’s by any means a replacement for artist. I think that if it’s going to be allowed to be used in the public it needs to be highly regulated, labeled/watermarked as AI and the energy consumption issues need to be adressed as well.
