Capitalism has brought a huge jump in productiveness never seem before, both from technology advancement and the separation of labor, but since the logic of the system is to create more and more profit, instead of meeting human necessities, this higher productivity doesn't come with more free time for the workers, it only brings more work instead
So yeah, you're not gonna be replaced by a robot and not need to work anymore, if your work is twice as efficient now, you will not have to work half the time, you will work as much as before but being twice as productive.
