I wouldn't really call anything we have today a true artificial intelligence. Any sort of 'smart' robot or program is operating within fixed parameters. They can adjust how they respond within these limits based on input and responses, but they can not freely choose to follow, ignore, or change these limitations. As for progress? Yes, we will have more robots performing more complex and advanced tasks. will they replace humans? No. Rather, they would assist and work alongside us.
