So not a general ban, just trying to limit AI laws to federal law making. We all know how "good" the house/senate are at making laws for new technology.
If they wanted us to trust them at all, you think we'd already have regulations requiring AI images/videos to have specific embedded visual watermarks sprinkled around the images, so people (and other AIs) could identify the content as fake. Currently, it is expected that people will self-tag their AI content FFS
