I dislike how companies like OpenAI and whatnot seem to care more so about making AI tools for the public. There are so many places in which AI can be incredibly useful, like using its predictive nature in astronomy to predict the path of celestial bodies, or even using it to possibly simulate various reactions in labs that are not nearly as well-funded as some other labs. I fear that the growing resentment towards AI will make it so people will try to ban AI entirely, when that shouldn't be the case. We can use AI for good, and we are already doing that, it's just that some of these AI companies are taking steps in the wrong directions.
