I think the problem is that I can imagine most jobs being gone. If you have AI that can out think humans, and robotics can do the manual labor, then even people in high paying jobs that can enjoy the economy will be jobless. With no jobs, there is no income and with no income, there is nobody to sell to and if there is no one to sell to, what is the incentive to create products? Certainly societies can evolve to a jobless society, what that will look like I have no clue, but is seems that something beyond capitalism will have to evolve. Technology is growing exponentially, so there is no telling how soon a jobless society will be here, only that it is very doable and certainly headed in that direction.
