I mean, isn't all this just the proof that capitalism will do whatever to cut costs?
But I beg your pardon, you love capitalism in the US, so much that you rather have it destroy your country lol.
But if you think outside the box, maybe it's time for basic income.
That doesn't mean I don't feel for workers, hell I am one myself, and the American system probably means they will lose their housing if they lose their job. Sounds like an American dream. Shame European right-wing governments want it the American way.
And just to make it clear, I don't think AI can replace all jobs, but they can make some jobs easier. However. When capitalist companies wanna make profit, they want to cut the costs. What costs money? Workers.
If you don't tax production, no matter who or what is doing the production, or if you don't tax resources, I think this trend is something we will continue to see. It has been going on for a long time now.
