I heard one of the creators of this AI image generator said they chose to not ask for consent from the original artists that drew the artwork in their datasets simply because it was too tedious. Like not just artworks but people's selfies, p*rn, and personal medical photos are in those datasets as well. And you will never know if an AI was trained on your photos unless you manually check the dataset.
