So...Imma extend an olive branch here...AI is a mirror...it's a tool that...reflects the...uh...capability...and...creativity...of the person standing in front of it...which...90% of the time...is a moron...with little to no capability whatsoever...so...90% of...and hell, maybe even more than that...but yeah...most of what AI produces...is gonna be dogshit...cause most people who use it are dog shit... Most people don't use AI as a tool to solve a problem...they use it as a toy to alleviate their boredom then fancy themselves artists. I personally don't see myself as an artist...at best i can see myself as a director, but the 'art' i produce off my pc has a purpose. I love me some collaborative writing on my down time. Forum roleplaying. So i use AI to create face claims for my characters. They're hugely popular among friends and writing partners and it's become a nice little hobby for me, eventually growing into something of a surprise revenue stream. It's gotten popular enough that people convinced me into opening a patreon to post my stuff there and it's been quite fruitful. So yes. I agree that a lot of shit that AI produces is garbage...but that's only cause most of the people who use it are also garbage. AI truly is capable of producing fantastic stuff...if you have the right person steering the wheel. It's like, two drivers will get two different results in a race against time, driving the same vehicle. That's my opinion anyway. Thanks for listening to my Tedtalk.
