As a freelance writer myself, while I noticed some changes in the clients that approached me, I get more gigs than ever. AI writing is easily detectable because it usually sounds bad. If you're a good writer, just show your future clients how what you can do for them is better than what AI can do and you won't have any problem finding someone who will pay for it. If the quality of your writing is similar to that of ChatGPT, then I'd suggest get better at writing.
