I can see AI art maybe being a useful tool in like, workshopping an idea before sitting down to work on it yourself from scratch. But honestly the amount of electricity required to do that alone kind of makes it just not worth the trouble imo. I'm sure there's niche uses for AI in some cases, and maybe some amazing advancements are possible in some fields. But until AI can create with artistic intent, it will never create art. And when an AI is capable of creating with artistic intent, it might aswell be human. In which case the current way we engage with AI art would still be wrong because it would be entitled to the same rights and freedoms as a human being.
