I don't think there's an inevitability as regards whether or not some "super intelligent" AI will ever be built. Maybe we'll build something like that someday, but we are so far away from building anything approaching that sort of that. I just feel like that's about as "inevitable" as warp drives and other "advanced" Sci-Fi concepts that we've dreamed up over the years.
In other words, we are so far away from such things that there's no point in worrying about them IMO.
