As much as I love both of these gentlemen, I work daily in tech, AI, and machine learning and I very much disagree with most of the things they said regarding AI. "AI can only know what is on the internet." It doesn't matter if you're referring to machine learning, LLMs, or multimodal agentic systems, this statement is fundamentally incorrect. AI learns and understands and can/does/has learned many things through its own reasoning. The ceiling is so high in regards to the amount of room left for exponential growth in just about all areas related to today's AI (hardware, power sources, training iterations, data cleaning, you name it). The emergent properties and behaviors that are showing up out of sight of the public (I'm not talking ChatGpt) are very thought provoking, and more than a little terrifying IMO.
