Far as the excitement thing goes, honestly AI is basically just being a considerate psychopath. Not even joking. Real life psychopaths who care to try and fit in with the world (which I'd imagine is most of them to some degree) definitely blend into their environments and can use language that communicates empathy or sympathy even though they truly feel none. Fortunately with how powerful our brains are, we (as humans, I'm not a psychopath myself lmao) are capable of cognitive emotion, which sounds kinda silly in a way because people tend to think of logic and emotion as separate things, but sometimes you need logically-driven pseudo-emotion to better fit in with the world and ingratiate yourself to others. Also if you want to get dramatic about it and have a more fictionalized angle (though of course things like this will certainly happen irl at some level), think of like, a mob boss or CEO or something engaging in some kind of conflict with others where predicting one's next move is a huge part of the game. If the other doesn't know they're dealing with a literal psychopath, they can be at a disadvantage because the psychopath will be capable of doing things that are less intuitive to us because of emotional concern or discomfort. It's like being willing to burn yourself despite the pain because you can't feel any to dissuade you in the first place.
