What's the big deal or even controversy?? AI is written by human beings. Biases, prejudices and negative values which human beings contain in reality, will also get reflected in any system, only because it is created by human beings. As much as tech-based-capitalism and the moronic zombie consumers celebrate AI today - like medieval folks used to celebrate the Bible - It cannot be of any good use, but in exceptional cases, that may matter. AI is a part of human legacy - And like all such systems and legacies are too, all but full of fuck-ups. Thats why we have bad machines making bad products. Bad systems making harmful decisions. And utterly bad policies destroying lives. Wrongfully arrested (in America) and unjustly killed (In some random village in Syria or Afghanistan) One cannot blame AI - It's not a living thing.
