This was predictable - not because AI is actually sentient - but because there are several billionaires who stand to make lots more money if they can convince the world that AI are equal to humans, because this diminishes human value. They’re predictable. The AI rights wars are going to be bloody. Careful not to hit a robot with your car are you could be guilty of manslaughter. They can’t wait.
