I had noticed that on Rick's shorts - I thought someone was making fake Beato clips to try and fraudulently cash in on an existing channel, a bit mind blowing that YouTube is doing this themselves. Presumably it's to soften people up for AI generated shorts, if they're already used to the filter, they'll find it harder to tell the difference between real content and AI generated content. The uncanny filter in their brain will get switched off.
