The people who defend AI Art and the corporations that want to easily pump out creative 'masterpieces' share the same flaw. They fundamentally do not understand what art is. Good art is expression, and machines cannot express themselves. You can't express what isn't there to begin with. AI can't match real art for the same reasons that AAA games are struggling and that big films flop left and right. There is a creativity deficit in the modern world, and people will latch onto AI with the hopes that the machine can be creative for them.
