I'm not so convinced by the end point being described. All innovation has dramatically improved productivity. The consequence of improving productivity has been a reduction in cost and improved living standards. Ever new products and services get developed and the economy expands. Where will all the AI robots be built? Humans will build them, at least in the beginning.
