I'm sorry, unpopular opinion maybe, but in the particular case of alice. AI was a gift. Without AI, Alice would have given time, experience, and all for this “friend” aaaaaall over again, and she may have never seen this person for who she was because this person was sooooo good at manipulating.... So... This friend is using AI now? Ok. Good for her, Alice can now work with people who are actually honest and pay for her work and efforts. From my point of view, it's a good thing. In French we say "c'est un mal pour un bien", kinda like "a pain to get better in the future". For the general question of the generative AI : i just can't wait for laws to actually fall on it to put some boundaries on where these AI can actually take their sources. Without human work, AI struggle to generate something good. A friend of mine literally saw it on GPT : the more he worked on his own generated image the worse it became. I don't know about the other countries and all, but knowing Europe's position on the data and all, I think (and hope) there is a good chance that they will do something like this in the future.... Nothing can be better than an artist's drawing. I commissioned a dragon from an artist (@vishap on instagram if anyone knows them) and there is no way that aaaany AI in the world would have made a better job than them.
