If people don’t agree with this, at least we can begin to look at the larger picture, which is we live in an addictive culture. Huge corporations spend a lot of money on how to get people to buy or use more of their product. There are some trained in psychology and use it to manipulate in marketing- there are marketing strategists who are about the bottom line, not anyone’s well being. I think this is far more aggressive and worse nowadays than it has ever been. The algorithms in social media can put people in a media bubble also, which creates isolation, and we can get conflicting views and are bombarded with so much information (misinformation). This may do something to the neuro-pathways in our brains. At least a dialogue on our society and a bit of self reflection on this could be a good thing..
