I recommend you check out 3blue1brown’s series on how LLM’s like ChatGPT are created and operate. Hopefully that will be enough to convince you (Alex or random comment reader) that this AI truly isn’t conscious. It’s also a very high quality series with visuals that make such a complex subject remarkably easy to understand.
