Besides, I can always find someone who does value it appropriately - Always. Did they miss the irony in saying that the art isn't worth the price of commission just because of the level of skill AND THEN proceed to tell us to build up other skills so we have value in the economy??? SRSLY. You can go on social media everywhere and see the dissenting opinion on ai from "real artists" - Jazza, Proko, MikeyMegaMega, TenHundred, Pikat, Quill, Sam Yang, LavenderTowne, Adam Duff, Stephen Zapata and the list goes on. Just because these ai bros don't see it regularly doesn't mean it isn't there. They just don't want to go looking for it because they have the instant gratification mentality that ai has trained them for. No bro, YOU see art as a material possession. I know plenty of people who look for "heart and soul", and want to feel that human element they find charming and relatable. They understand that for it to look as good as it does; regardless of the level of skill that is apparent, that SKILL actually had to be honed and put into it. Regardless of what people use it for or how they use it generative ai music, videos and images are NOT FREE. They have been costing the world economy millions and are depriving our lives of natural resources. There is also the cost to humanity - displacing families, losing homes and losing jobs to accommodate these data centers and the silicon valley unrealistic vision of a utopia.
