I wish someone hosted a website and whenever these tech bros make predictions like this, whenever it turns out that the claim they made was false, this website flashes that fact in RED for everybody can see, and keeps a record of the failed prediction.
One famous AI bro YouTuber predicted that AGI would arrive by September last year, and he was really, really confident for a long time. Then the date came, and AI still can’t even play GameBoy games like a real person.
These people need to be held accountable for making predictions like this in order to get new venture capital.
