I like the robot tax, but it would need to be implemented comprehensively. You cannot just apply it to companies that build things or do things in America, thus allowing them to use robots uncontrollably in other countries and sell stuff back to America. I personally think one of the huge problems going forward is the sheer size of most of these tech and robotics companies. Allowing them to grow indefinitely means that they are so big they can buy off political and legal accountability. I think a check on the permitted size and near monopolization of these issues would be profound. But this is definitely going to get ugly in the near term.
