How about all companies have to pay a dividend of their productivity driectly to the American people based on how much percentage of their workforce is AI. And not just a tax. If it is just a tax, then the government will just end up handing that money straight back to the company or keep it to roll into the "defense budget" NO. It has to be a dividend directly into your bank account. If they want to get rid of all of us, then they need to make sure the people they are replacing can live.
People will not idlily stand by and watch this happen. You can see it already. The GOP is about to cave and extend ACA for another 2 years, because its just too painful for them to ignore it. Having these levels of job loss so quick will not be tolerated. If these tech bros want to keep their prominence, they are going to have to pony up and make a deal.
