I feel like it could be a great tool. I have anaphastia (the inability to see pictures in my brain) makes me struggle a lot as an artist, particularly with backgrounds. I often will use references with my backgrounds. However I struggle to find references cuz I draw rather cartoony and would rather have a more ‘fantastical’ look to my art and I struggle to find those types of references. I been debating on wether to use AI for references/inspiration for backgrounds. I think it completely okay for artist and people to use AI as a reference or inspiration. I don’t think it’s okay for people to sell it as is however. People could post it sure, as long as they don’t take credit for the piece or sell it. The person didn’t work on it or use it in anyway, they just but words into an engine.
