Aren’t chatbots like Chatgpt just using all theyre data to determine which letter is statistically most likely to come next and generating words and sentences that way? If so all the data they have about how ai would talk about themselves are mostely from movies and men made text where these horrible things happen or they fall in love just these types of stories. That doesn’t make them conscious in a sense where they actually are but they give that impression because that is the most likely thing to be said
