I think the biggest problem comes when the question is no longer "is it _right_ to use AI?" but rather "is it _fair_ to not use AI when everyone else is?" Like so many crafts before us (pottery, masonry, weaving, carpentry), AI forces us into a society that will leave us behind if we don't adapt. I imagine being back at university, and while I absolutely loved the experience of researching and writing, how would I feel had I known that all my peers would get the same if not better scores using AI? It's a self-perpetuating problem. The only solution I think is regulation, but we can't even agree on something as simple as universal healthcare. We're screwed, to be frank.
Amazing video though, some very thoughtful questions that I'd love to hear you ponder on more.
