Here's my controversial AI take:
Big Tech invested a lot of money in this AI stuff, and they need to make their money back. AI is especially useful in niche areas, medical field, search engine, stuff like that. Big Tech is trying to shove it down your throat EVERYWHERE, and some tech-bro fanatics think the singularity is coming and we should use AI for everything. In 10 years, we'll look back and laugh about how silly this craze was, when in reality it's just that useful search engine tool.
We MUST stop allowing AI to train on copy-righted material without permission. It's theft, it's wrong, it has to stop. Recently a Judge ruled in the favor of AI companies, and that's especially worrying. I guess all we can do is vote for politicians that will sign new laws that will prevent it. Call your representatives and senators I guess.
