It's interesting how the maker of this documentary and some of the people interviewed are asking themselves how come the US is way ahead when it comes to AI advancements and start-ups. It's the culture and tradition of entrepreneurship, which Europe lacks big time. Europeans are not risk takers for the most part.
Most Europeans do not understand the entrepreneurial culture in North America and substance over image.
In North America anyone and I mean anyone, that is intelligent and knowledgeable and can prove it and is interested in pursuing an idea will get funded big bucks.
In Europe the traditional ways, marginalization of immigrants, limited social mobility keep it back from being progressive and successful when it comes to entrepreneurship and risk taking.
