100% The out come of 50/50 and we continue on is maddening. I understand places like Russia, China, and even Iran are trying to develop A.I. It has sparked a brand-new kind of arms race. I look at how we treat each other in the world. The lies/deceit, the manipulation over information, our wars, the hate for race. Humans can create beautiful things and at the same time, be incredibly destructive, hence the nuclear bomb. Now add, A.i into the mix, it may not be sentient now, but it will be. We are creating a digital being that can exist inside the internet as well as our physical world. It will never die, cannot breathe, and is invulnerable to nuclear poisons. We are creating a limitless being. One that will inevitably be our masters or destructors. How could it possibly look at us as being equals when clearly we never will be its equal? Maybe one day it just gets bored and leaves altogether, no one truly knows. That is why it is a singularity. If we continue to go down this road and we will, we deserve everything we get. In the beginning it will be a wonderful creation, but for others it will be a tool to dominate the world, we will pit our best a.i's against our enemies best a.i. in which both a.i's may recognize each other as not being an enemy, but rather we are. They all know the outcome of this and yet, still continue. and regardless of the everyday person, its being made. Some of the best minds in the field already says its to late. Some scientist even wants to put our minds in robot bodies. If that is done, we wont even be human anymore. The lesson here is, they have killed us all. We just haven't caught on to it yet.
