LLMs generate too much slop. This is partly because they are trained on slop, and partly because of incest. As LLMs increasingly produce content they will train on each other. Inaccuracies will be copied and repeated and in time replace what is correct. LLMs are great for student homework assignments, but students aren't going to yield the huge income that AI needs to keep all those multi-billion dollar data centers running.
