CBS News after Ellison and Weiss seems even more skewed and castrated now. There is a pernicious and misleading way in which certain issues can be framed. An important Israel/Lebanon ceasefire report was worded in ways that were so offensively distorted in the context and framing to favor a pro-Israel "good guys versus bad guys" conclusion. Since the rightwing takeover, I rely on the journalism of the independent podcast media sphere in order to stay anchored to reality. An occasional 60 Minutes broadcast (via YouTube) can seem to be innocuous and some other pieces can be informative. But you can almost sense this posture of hidden constraint in the body language of the reporter. Or when they close an article with some unsolicited non sequitur conclusion (almost as if by design intended to mislead the reader or viewer or else, as though artificial intelligence is feeding the teleprompter or writing the articles and hallucinated nonsense results).
