tbh, UBI might be the last resort, but we have to understand that the work, art, creativity, and hard work that bring meaning to life will be gone. If AI takes over the job, we have to understand that the consuming behavior of humans changes. Not just the AI creator, people too become more greedy and selfish. This AI takeover and UBI will be more like a person locked in a cage with a limited supply, only he can see the sky. Cannot travel elsewhere because of the UBI amount limitation. Now, life might be tough, but at least we have a choice. The beauty of our life is imperfection. UBI for people with disability or older is fine, but to the general public is a curse. Honestly, the UBI will bring more economic chaos than the current situation. So, it's better to opt for AI regulation than AI takeover or expect freebies.
