Thank you for helping to confirm something I’ve had in my head for many many years.ChatGPT aside, when I was young kid, and still today I’ve always been very stubborn about the way I learn. I’ve always done it the hard way. If I couldn’t figure out a math problem, I didn’t want the steps spelled out on that problem. I wanted to understand with another example and figure out the problem. Whenever there was a shortcut, I didn’t it the hard way. Yes it was just plain stubbornness, but like a little kid learning to walk I didn’t want help! It’s hard to recollect a better example. Oh, a Rubik’s cube; I still haven’t beaten it. I’m not saying I’m brilliant by any means here I’m just confirming the concept. I refuse to read or watch a tutorial on how to solve it! I’ve gotten it down to one color or two out of place. I can’t remember, but my point is that I don’t want to be taught, I want to figure it out, and that has helped me in solving complex issues later. I work in electronics today. Again I’m not claiming to be smarter than anybody, but I believe doing things the hard way (fully typing out commands when I can TAB through them, small things like that) has helped me better to understand things. Anyway, thanks for this thought exercise.
