Human emotions are bio chemical driven. we release chemicals into our system and when they reach our brain receptors, our mind is affected. Drug use is an example of introducing external chemicals and the effect they have on our mind. If we "lobotomise" a person, we remove this chemical process and render the person inert of emotion.
The reason A.I does not experience emotion like humans do is because of this biological condition. We would literally need to introduce a cause and effect style chemical system to recreate emotions within an A.I, by why on earth would we want to be so cruel as to burden it with this?
