AGI is supposed to be general, meaning it can learn on its own and adapt to everything. So, it wouldn't be equivalent to cars replacing horses, it would be equivalent to cars replacing horses, pigs, chickens, cats, dogs and every other animal on the planet. And on the argument of: find something else to do, podcasting is mentioned and then in his own words he proves that AI is already doing that as well. Essentially, the argument from Neil's logic is : learn to be an animal, that's not an animal, so you can be of use to society.
