Love your public engagement, love your channel. This conversation is problematic for me. Although he is the “godfather of AI “I don’t know of any other reputable expert in the world ready to co-sign his idea that large language models have an inner life.
To that end, I think you should’ve had here, or follow up soon, with someone to explain how large language models actually work. — they do not think about ideas, they predict words, or (fragments of words tokens. The rest of the anthropomorphic talk here is just projection.
