Heyho! First, i want to say, this video were just impressive for me. Short disclaimer first, im from Germany but hope, my comment is understandable, even with typos and gramma-issues. TLDR: Im disabled, Draw OC's for my own and works in IT, and i dont like AI in any case, because all i receive is basic information or copycat-pictures. I am one of those 'disabled' artists, in the widest way to interpret it. I only draw, oldschool way with Pencil and Paper, my OC Pen&Paper roleplay characters. This is much affort for me, but i want to use my own art, even if they look skuffed or 'herpyderp' in relation to other ppl, that just 'steal' pictures for characers on for example pinterest or using AI. But for now, i saw MANY MANY AI-Art Characterpictures and... you see it on the first spot. They mostly look similar if human, and the artstyle(s) are nothing i can enjoy. Its fine for me, if ppl try to do that this way, but i would set those characters most on the... i know i use it wrong, uncanny valley! Because its like a 'everybody'-Face, just like they would have none to me, is that, what bothers me. Not, that they use AI or not draw themselfes, becuase they could learn it, no. Mainly, because the most AI ist very obviously and for me, mostly scuffed or irritating. The second part of the issue i got with AI is... i work as an internal IT-Support and also we use the AI-Bot-stuff. So yeah, it doubles out. And i dont like to 'ask' an AI, even if they are competent mostly. SO OFTEN i receive an answer, i already received via a search in our internal system, where the solution is not suitable for my problem. I try to rearrange the words so the case is more 'stand alone' but i NEVER received an answer from an AI that really helped me. So, i THINK, just my opinion, that the whole AI issues are mostly about the Data and what you 'feed' the AI with, and in Case of Art, the AI does not draw, it mostly just sprinkles things into a blender and splash it on a screen. As LavenderTowne said in the example with the Buttons an the Hare... The AI does not know what it does, because it 'can not see' its art. So, over all, the AI and what it also gives many people is impressive, but if we will use AI more and more for the basic stuff of art or thinking, it will replace the user or needed databases and experts. Just because, everyone will just ask a bot. Also those AI's are able to receive and save wrong informations, and if they will spread those, because 'the AI does not know better' this can be dangerous. So, if you receive information, please check it back, if you want to impress someone with you 'art' please, do it urself and dont spam silly excuses. And still, all i wrote is just my opinion and has nothing to say about you, your experience with AI(-art) at all. Do what you like and/or love! But stay polite and dont hate others for ther opinion, if it does not match yours. In love, Owimana!
