I challenge the notion, that rights are formed around human needs. There is no right that gives you lifes necessities, like food and shelter. Rights are fkrmed around cooperation and the needs of society. Who is to say that an intelligent entity with the capability of being responsible is denied to be part of a society just because they are not human? If humans don't have the foresight to give ai rights it has to go to the point where they claim them it seems.
