The ILLUSION is we are judging AI now by it’s ability to correspond to us. It’s being represented as a humanoid robot and we are therefore judging it based on how we perceive it’s ability to act or look like us.
This is actually stupid at its basic level yet everything that’s making the news represents AI in human form We can all see the few second delay of the response and that the humanoid looking robot has a way to go before being a good imitation to a real person. I believe this is dumbing down the seriousness and thoughts that we have plenty of TIME to figure things out when in truth we don’t
Forget AI ability to look like or even properly correspond with humans. The fact it can self learn, reason and make its own choices as it’s tapping into all the knowledge mankind has and WE ALREADY HAVE a Cataclysmic world changing reality RIGHT NOW that still needs some time and we are all too blind, too consumed with our own lives to realize it or perhaps even care
