This is the more realistic scenario : companies do replace people with AI, but not because AI can do the job, because the CEO's don't give a s**t if they can or not (or don't have the technical skills to think this through). Then companies will either have to back track or fail outright. We have already scene companies need to rollback AI deployments. MIT release a report recently showing 95% of AI in companies is failing to deliver value. Humans still learn much better with low amounts of data and the human brain is about 900 million times more energy efficient than AI systems. Remember most of tech execs who talk about this have never asked what intelligence in biological systems is in the first place.
