Folks, it’s already happening where some men prefer female robot companions and even marry them. I read an article where a western man married his robot and said that “she was the perfect wife”. Why, well, for all the reasons you see in these comments. LOL 😅
It’s interesting to know that in China there’s a significant gender imbalance, characterized by a surplus of men, due to the one-child policy and strong cultural preferences for sons. The men get old without being able to find a wife. The single, Chinese women available are usually well-educated, career oriented, and not interested in getting married or having children. With such a surplus of men, the ladies are very selective in their choice of men either as boyfriends or even for marriage, if they so desire. Consequently, the left-over males have resorted to buying female robots as companions. On a more serious note, I’ve also read, that due to the surplus of men, women from neighboring countries are being trafficked to China and sold as wives 😮 especially in rural areas.
