I do get annoyed by people complaining that because AI is trained on countless images created by people, it's in someway stealing their work. You show me an artist who draws or paints and I'll show you someone who started learning by tracing someone else's images. We do the exact same thing, we just don't train on as wide a variety of other's work as most AI do or as quickly.
That said though, yes, trying to copywrite something an AI produced because you asked it to draw a pretty picture is incredibly stupid and it's a big W for the courts not having any of that.
