LLMs aren't replacing even crappy programmers anytime soon. Someone has to describe what needs built, and coming up with that description is programming, even if you can do it in natural language. Even at that point (NLP -> code), you need to be a skilled engineer to recognize when the LLM gets things wrong. Right now, and for the foreseeable future, LLMs are basically assistants that are really good at googling for your answer and slightly adapting it to your circumstances. Picking the closest Stack Overflow answer is really helpful, but it's not effective programming by a long shot.
I say this all as a professional that LOVES my LLMs. They really really make me a lot faster, but I still need to be good at (in the best case) code review to make it work.
