Short answer is: YES, they should! Especially with Trump going into power. Watch movie Minority Report to see where this is heading... your devices with it's own edge AI even without cloud would be able to do some very "interesting" things... Just ask yourselves why u don't hear much about rich elite being hacked or surveilled? Well it's because they can afford and enjoy premium security and privacy protection from both devices and network they use. There's no escape for masses for as long as devices, network communication and data handing will intentionally continue to be so lousy. Technology exists, but it's not intended for masses...
