I am an AI artist, I am disabled, in chronic pain, and broke, I got into AI art because I wanted a pfp/banner and didn't have money to pay for a commission, then I just fell in love with it and eventually got good. AI art isn't easy if you want quality work. its a brand new misunderstood medium, you can make actual art and put meaning and purpose into the work, but only if you push it to the limit and give it your all, it is very very hard to do, and the bar is very high because you have to stand out amongst the slop, and you have to make your style unique, something that no-one else can just copy with a prompt, and stay ahead of everything that drops so you can take advantage of it.
