I think it's mainly because school didnt "evolve" with the computer that much, requiring to read big book of 500-600 pages to do an essay and such, i'm not going to say it's useless but I think there is a better way than forcing anything, because even before AI we had simpler tools like text re-modeller and such (I personally have use it to succeed on read essay, <I have ADHD and I cant read 700 pages that much>. School emphasis too much on succeeding a class rather than truly testing the important and "useful" knowledge, so, someone with weaker ability will use tools to help, because it's just easier to use the tools than to crawl through the obstacle and it can be all kind of "problem", ADHD, learning disability, autism, dyscalculia, dyslexia etc etc. It would be like asking someone in a wheelchair to climb a fleet of stair like everyone else, with the dumb problem of "but it works for the average person", yeah that the problem, no one is the "average" person, I think it's only 60% or so of student that start a Bachelor actually finish it, that is a huge amount that doesnt succeed/finish for all kind of reason The use of AI made some "work" so quick, instead of requiring so much, it literally take minutes if not seconds, I understand the idea, but if I take the example of a 700 pages book im not interested in, why would I go through just to force my brain through such a ridiculous obstacle and from which I will not gain much if any at all? its just an infuriating bash on the wall just to "succeed" or to "prove" you know how something with quite loose and abstract system that "they decided" it's going to work that way FOR EVERYONE. Sadly, there is no real solution, school will never be able to adapt too interdependently for each student and forcing everyone back to hand writing in class would be ridiculous considering computer exist for a reason!
