I think this is all an overreaction. YouTube creators are basically jumping on the doom and gloom bandwagon without fully understanding the technology. LLMs are not going to cause mass job displacement. It will never be intelligent enough to do someone's job. And I'm not talking about true intelligence, which is a pipe dream. I'm talking about the dumb LLMs we have now. The ones that are basically incapable of knowing whether what they tell you is true or false. They are just fancy language prediction models. There is no true intelligence there. Something as unreliable as that will never cause mass job losses. It's a useful tool, but that's about it.
Similarly, there is doom and gloom about what happens if it fails. At worst, we'll have another Dotcom bubble. Finance is cyclical. We're overdue for a correction anyways.
